Energy saving in an ammonia plant: advice for adequate revamping

Energy saving in an ammonia plant: advice for adequate revamping

Ammonia plant energy saving projects are developed considering specific limitations or inefficiencies affecting the plant in terms of OPEX, NG limitation, environmental impact, reliability etc.
Many technologies and processes are available to improve the current plant situation in the most convenient and sound way.
The modifications must consider different variables inside and outside the analyzed plant, technical and economical aspects must be balanced to target the Client needs.
Discussion topics, technical and economical examples are provided for three of the main sections of the ammonia plant, namely Primary reforming, CO2 removal and Synthesis loop.
