Casale is happy to announce that Messrs. Yara, one of the world’s largest producers of fertilizers, has approved and selected Uremium 29 alloy material for maintenance purposes in all their urea plants worldwide.
Uremium 29 is a super-duplex alloy (i.e. austenitic-ferritic) specifically developed by Tubacex, a global leader in stainless steel and high nickel alloys tubular solutions, for Casale to be used in Urea service.

Box 10952, Jubail Industrial City, 31961, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has been appointed to act as Casale’s exclusive representative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the State of Qatar.

We are pleased to announce that on June 12, the 500’000 t/y Nitric Acid plant of Navoyazot has been smoothly and successfully started up. The plant now steadily operates at about 80% of the design load due to limitations in the feed ammonia as well as some glitches in some units that will be ironed out in the next weeks.

It is with great satisfaction that we announce that on May 7th, 2020 the surge test of the turbo-set of the 1500 MTD nitric acid plant of Navoyazot (Navoz, Uzbekistan) has successfully passed. Following the surge test, the turbo-set has been operated to blow the main process lines, and on 13th May, 2020 the blowing has been completed successfully.

Despite the serious hurdles caused by the COVID19 pandemic and the necessity to insure and preserve the health and safety of all parties involved in the project, particularly our site team, the construction of the large Ammonia-Urea-Melamine (or AUM) complex at Metafrax is making steady progress.
