Improved HP loop for NH3 Stripping plants.
Key features
- No need for HP Stripper passivation air compressor
- Low ammonia emissions
Ammonia stripping plants can be improved thanks to a minor modification of HP piping loop, such that the vapour phase exiting the reactor, containing inert gases and unreacted ammonia and carbon dioxide, is routed to the bottom of HP Stripper and used for passivation, thus eliminating the need for a dedicated passivation air compressor. Moreover, the reduced amount of inerts that ends up in the ammonia recovery system has the additional benefit of reducing ammonia emissions to atmosphere.
